On Thursday, June 8th, 2023, our community was struck by a tragedy that shook us to our core. Danielle Rowe, a bright and innocent 8-year-old student at Braeton Primary School, Portmore, St. Catherine, fell victim to a heinous act. She was abducted from her school by a heartless woman described as being between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 lbs, brown complexioned with liver spots on her face, flat buttocks, and knocked knees. This woman took Danielle to an abandoned building near the National Stadium, where the unthinkable happened – her throat was slashed.

Miraculously, Danielle managed to escape her attackers and found her way into oncoming traffic, where compassionate motorists rushed her to the Bustamante Children’s Hospital. Despite her incredible will to survive, Danielle tragically succumbed to her injury at 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

The nation was gripped by outrage and disbelief, and the pain of Danielle’s family and friends is immeasurable. Despite the collective outrage and tireless efforts of the local police, Danielle’s murderer remains at large, evading justice.

Today, we come together as a community to seek justice for Danielle. We refuse to let this reprehensible act go unpunished, and we firmly believe that someone out there holds vital information that can lead us to her killer.

We are launching this urgent fundraising campaign to raise funds amounting to J$500,000.00. This money will be used as a reward to incentivize anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the person responsible for this unspeakable crime. We urge you to open your hearts and contribute what you can, as every dollar brings us closer to justice for Danielle.
